Park Closed

The park will be closed from February 1st -25th. We are getting ready for the new wheeling season, starting with Frostbite on February 26th! See you at Frostbite!

Frostbite Event

Come join us February 26th  for our Annual Frostbite Event. This is a great way to open up your seasons wheeling. Great food, great fun and great friends makes this event warm all over.  Gates open at 8:00 and we will have donuts, coffee and hot cider to get you started. All day wheeling. Dinner is at 3:30 Catered by Calvin’s Catering,  followed by our HUGE drawing with the park closing at 6:00.  This year we have single cards of tickets with 20 numbers on them for $20 per card.  We will be offering short sleeve shirts with registration AND Hoodies for purchase.

$60 Cost includes Event entry, 1 hot meal, 1 t-shirt and a drawing ticket.

Yeah It May Be Cold…..But It Never Gets Old!!!  Gates open at 8:00 a.m. Registration Deadline Feb 5th  at 6:00 p.m..

Pre-registration is $60 for park entry, 1 meal ticket, 1 shirt and 1 drawing ticket. You can come the day of the event for $60 entry which includes one raffle ticket. See you there.

Spring Off Road 101 Course

Off Roading 101 Pre-Registration Course – $65 Per Vehicle.

About the Course:
If you are new to the sport of off-roading or even if you have been in it awhile and want to learn more about how to wheel, this is the course for you!

In this course you will learn:

Proper driving techniques over various terrain
How to Spot effectively
How to protect the environment
About your vehicle
Political impact on the sport

Agenda for the 101 course:

We will have a class room type session to cover several topics and a Q&A.
We will head for the trails with guides to learn on the trails.
We will break for lunch. (Bring your own lunch.)
Back to the trails for the rest of the day to learn more.

What you will get in the 101 course:

Entry into the park for the day.
A guide book for off-roading.

This class will be restricted to the first 50 entries in order to be able to give quality instruction to the students.

Adopt-A-Trail Work Day

Our AAT groups take a day to show pride in their park and help out with some trail maintenance.

May 7th and Sept 9 Trail Adopters help with trail maintenance today. Come out and meet your fellow off-roaders for a day of trail maintenance and wheeling. You will meet members of off-road clubs from Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska during this giving back event!

Sign in at registration booth from 8:00 -9:30 a.m. Trail maintenance starts at 8:30 a.m.

Kanrocks Night Run

Our Night Runs start at 7:00 pm and runs to Midnight. It only cost an additional $5 on top of the regular day fee. Come feel the difference between daylight wheeling and doing it in the dark. We generally schedule a night run during a full moon so you will have a little light to wheel by. This year we have May 14, July 9 and Nov 5 scheduled for night runs.

Kansas Rocks Park Creepy Crawl

Friday, Oct 14, gates open at Noon for free weekend tent camping
Saturday, Oct 15, gates open at 8:00am
Open wheeling all day Saturday and Saturday night until 11:30pm

8:00-6:00 Haunted novelties in the park – turn in at office for your prize (decals, shirts,
hats, bags, ANNUAL PASS, & and more) 
11:30-2:30 BALLOON TWISTER – You dream it and let Dena create it, balloon style
                  CLIMBING WALL – take a break from rock crawling & and try rock climbing
                   (please note these activities will be updated closer to the event) 
4:00         * Kids Costume Showcase–all participants will receive a trunk or treat bag
                  * Decorated Rig Contest-winner will receive a 2023 Annual Pass
                  * Adult costume contest-winner will receive a 2023 Annual Pass
                  * Family/Group costume contest-winner will receive a 2023 Annual Pass
4:30-5:00     Trunk-or-Treat (bring goodies to share) immediately following contests
5:00             Supper (Kurzweil’s burgers, dogs, beans and chips)
6:30-7:30     Kid friendly (non-scary) haunted trail drive through South 40 area, goodies
                     along the way!

7:30-10:00 Haunted trail ride in South 40 area (Trails closes at 11:30)

Bonfire and marshmallows will be provided, weather permitting

KS Rocks Reservations Map

Site prices include up to 6 people per site and 2 licensed vehicles (including all trailer types). You may request a specific site, however site numbers are not guaranteed.

For guests who may arrive outside of our usual business hours, your reserved site information will be available via a posted envelope on the Registration Building window. The next morning, please stop by the Office again to complete the check-in process.

We have the newest map that includes the new section of trails ready for you to use.

This new map, available through CartoTracks, is a whole ‘nother kind of map – designed to work on a mobile device with a magic blue dot showing your location on the map using GPS instead of cell signal. The new map of the Kansas Rocks Park is now available for download through CartoTracks.com here.

Make sure you download the app “PDF-Maps” first to your device from the app store (App is free) and then follow the instructions above to download the map. This map will work on your device without cell signal as long as you get it downloaded before you lose signal. Purchase proceeds go directly to the park!
